My analysis is below:
The band have used the technique of 'Black and White' heavily throughout the video, this has been done to symbolize the difference between day and night tying it into the main lyric of the song 'I cant get no sleep' as sleep is generally done at night and if the screen is black but he isn't asleep then there is an ideology that he cant get any sleep.
The ideology of someone getting no sleep is present throughout the entire music video and the setting of an industrial like housing estate throws the idea of busy environment with a lot of people living in one place linking to the possibility noise and commotion is effecting his sleep.
To further enhance the idea of him not being able to get any sleep he is dressed in a black suit and tie combination, this can symbolize an office environment where by the main character is under stress from his work commitments once again effecting his sleep.
In one scene there is bright, almost fog lights featured in the background these link into the scene being night and dark, usually the time when people should be sleeping.
On of the most significant and recognizable signs in the music video is of Maxi Jazz placing his hands over his face. This has connotations of trying to close yourself off from the world and other people and can be a clear symbol for someone wishing they could get to sleep and the use of a black background focuses the viewer on what he is saying and makes them think about the lyrics. The lyrics are further intensified by the use of a zoom, as the camera zooms into the main character and him voicing the lyrics it enforces there importance and makes the audience think.
There is a scene in which the main character is holding an umbrella above his head, this can symbolize him shutting himself off from someone else or something else. This can include the disease he has, Insomnia.
There is a consistent use of fast and jump cuts that heighten at the end of the song, these help to build the tension and the tempo of the music and draw the audience in.
The audience are then suddenly shown an abnormal orange being, this will initiallly startle the audience and make them feel like 'what is this' however, after a while the audience will begin to link the creature to the disease the character is being effected by this objectifies the disease of Insomnia.
The character is then seen running, however, it is not in the normal expected running gear such as shorts and t-shirts, he is still in his suit this could connote he is running from something unexpected like a mugger etc. However, the audience realize he is trying to run away from the disease of Insomnia that has taken over him.
There has been a use of crossfades at the end of the video to connote dizziness and an unknowing of where they are, this can once again be linked to his lack of sleep.
To conclude the director of the video is playing on the concept of the protagonist not getting any sleep to keep in line with the narrative of the song. He has also made the concept of someone not getting any sleep or 'Insomnia' to the idea of it being another species or presence causing this.
