Production Company Title Creation

I have decided to create a production company to make my production look a lot more professional, in order to do this I had to produce the image using a form of Photo Editing software. I ended up using two forms of software Adobe Fireworks and Adobe Photoshop.

The two software packages above are extremely powerful and therefore allow me to a diverse range of tasks. The final production image I created is below:

This is the final production title image, I decided to use the black background as that would allow to fade in and out of black easily without the title and next shots looking bad. The rainbow effect in the text contrasts with the black to help the logo stand out. I decided on the rainbow colour scheme as it connotes a sense of being open to anything and being able to adapt to any surrounding or task set. The typography itself is a font called Electroman, the reason for this is because it was a thin and sleek font that looked professional but still had the physical edginess of a modern production company. I finally added the clouds over the top to express an image of the logo being in the sky to present and omniscient  presence.

Some of the techniques I used to create the logo are below:

This is the gradient setting for the text, I tried to get as close to a rainbow effect without having a drastic change in the hue of the colours this is why I have gone Red, Orange, Yellow, Teal, Blue, Purple as these colours tend to blend well into each other and the teal and yellow make a green colour which is exactly the effect I was after.

The second most effective looking technique was done in Adobe Photoshop, I wanted the look of clouds over the top of the logo to represent it being in the sky and the easiest way to do this is to create a new layer over the top of the existing logo. I then went to filters and render and then clicked clouds this will create a complete layer of black and white clouds if the colour setting are correct of which I then lowered the opacity and then used a black paint brush to move the clouds out of the way of the logo.
